Legacy

The Legacy originated at the beginning of the 2oth century, when the owner’s esteemed grandfather served the Ottoman Caliphate at its four corners and was commissioned as a military governor at different designations. During his illustrious tenure, as a man of refinement, he collected art as he traveled, thus leaving a notable art inheritance for his son.
The Legacy continued into its third generation with the diplomat’s son, who had a keen interest in history and world travel. He inherited an impressive and priceless array of art and antiquities.
He had acquired a love for antiques in his early childhood, when his grand uncle, who was a curator at an important Ottoman Museum, started taking him to his work place. During this time, he was exposed to the magical world of sultans and harems at the tender age of 10. This is when he became a connoisseur of great art and antiques. Having a deep understanding and appreciation for art, he found his own niche in Islamic Art.
And so, an innate passion for Islamic Artifacts combined with his inheritance from both sides of his family tree gave birth to the amazing compilation titled “The Legacy.”
